We are delighted to announce that delivery of the Computers in Homes programme is restarting in 2019, as a result of our successful application for funding under the ‘Digital Literacy – Computers in Homes’ Fund operated by the Tertiary Education Commission.
We will provide Computers in Homes Connect training, access and support for families in Te Tai Tokerau, Taranaki, Manawatu/Horowhenua, Christchurch and Dunedin.
The programme is designed to:
› target learners whose previous learning was not successful
› raise foundation skills, and
› enhance a learner’s ability to participate in society and economic life.
Digital literacy skills, access to a device, and access to the internet are essential for people to be better connected to modern society and the economy.
The Computers in Homes Connect programme will support digital inclusion by providing learners with :
› access to digital literacy training based on an individual learning plan
› access to a device (Chromebook, PC or laptop) in the learner’s home
› access to subsidised internet, and
› free technical support for up to six months.
To find out more about the programme please contact Shona Te Huki, CiH Connect Manager on 0800 27 2020 (option 2) or email. firstname.lastname@example.org
