Board Changes for 20/20 Trust

Angela Lim has stepped down from the Board of 20/20 Trust to be able to devote more time to her role as CEO of Clearhead.  “The demands on my time have continued to grow and I can no longer commit to the amount of time and energy that would be required to support 20/20 Trust through its next chapter” said Ms Lim, “ I have had the great pleasure of working alongside a group of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the community we serve. Giving them a helping hand to break the intergenerational cycle of inequity through education.

The Board has decided to go to market for a new Chair to provide future leadership of the Trust.  Marg McLeod, Deputy Chair, has taken the role of Interim Chair from 26 May 2021.

Marg’s career has been in education, as a secondary school teacher and Principal, as a facilitator of teacher development in ICT, as a public servant in the Ministry of Education, as Private secretary to a Minister of the Crown and as Deputy Chief Executive of Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (NZ Correspondence School). She has been a Trustee since 2019.

“I am privileged to take up the role of interim Chair of 20/20 Trust.  The work of the Trust is critical in building a society which is capable of fully participating in the digital world that we live in. The experience of COVID-19 has shown us that Digital Inclusion is a critical programme of work across Aotearoa.” said Ms McLeod.

“Appropriate digital access in a fully digital society must be equitable, no matter where we live and no matter our age. And it is something we must learn. I came to 20/20 Trust because the mahi is critical work for equity in our society”.
